WOW! What a start to the new season! The cup guys came out tonight for the HLS 250 at Daytona, and followed up a great performance from the trucks last night with an even better show. The race started off hot, with the #92 of Caden Henry-Oakes battling it out with the #25 Jacob Smith, #19 Jake Roell, and #8 Tyler Murray. Cautions came few and far between, and didn't take out quite as many drivers as they did yesterday. The last caution came out with about 30 laps remaining, and with about 16 to go, the BigFASS Racing team came down for a horned up pit stop, catching the rest of the field off guard. The team came off pit road and was able to break the draft of the rest of the field, and the 5 cars in their draft pack wound up battling it out for the win. In the end, #33 Tyler Werner wound up crossing the line first, followed by #11 Austin Reedy and #4 Kyle Benson. Next week, both series tackle Texas Motor Speedway!
